OFW sa Disyerto sumali sa MAM Awards

Kamakailan lang ay may nag-imbita sa akin na isali ang blog na ito sa isang contest. Noong una, hindi ko ito masyadong sineryoso dahil hindi naman ako sigurado kung talagang angkop ba ang laman ng blog sa criteria o advocacy ng awarding group na ito. Ito ay ang MAM Awards.

Migration Advocacy and Media (MAM) Awards aim to recognize the significant role of the media in the promotion and advocacy of migration and development.

Eligible for the Awards are works by any individual, government and private media outlets, institutions and practitioners in the fields of print, radio, movie and television, advertising and internet based in the Philippines and abroad. Entries must have raised public awareness on issues on Filipino migration, advocated the cause of Filipinos overseas, or/and promoted a positive image of Filipinos overseas, and migration and development.

Hindi siya isang blog contest na katulad nang inaasahan ko. Ang Commission on Filipinos Overseas (www.cfo.gov.ph) ang nagbibigay kulay sa parangal na ito.

Kaya isang kaligayahan na mapansin at mapili ang blog na ito para anyayahan na sumali at mapabilang sa mga nanalo sa taunang MAM Awards. At sa lahat ng bumubuo ng ahensiya, sa mga pasimuno ng award, at mga hurado... maraming salamat po sa pagpili sa OFW sa Disyerto as BEST INTERACTIVE MEDIA (Blog).
